Community Involvement

Who are community fundraisers and what is community fundraising? It is people like you and I, living in a geographic area and part of a parish, school, organisation, club or pub. In fact, anywhere people meet together -in the community. Collectively these groups can get together to discuss and decide to help a worthwhile local, national or international charitable organisation.

There are many ways in which communities can raise funds for their chosen charity. From the tried and trusted raffle, coffee morning or cake and jumble sale they are all wonderful ways to fundraise, but what about something a bit different? A 200-Club is easy and raises a lot of money or what about putting on the Weakest Link, a Quiz night, or a Cabaret Evening.

What is important about community fundraising is that it is fun, involves people of all ages and strengthens the community link.
