On 1st October 2007 CATalyst merged with national charity Depaul Trust.

CATalyst, based in North Tyneside, has worked since 1991 with young people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage. Its mission was to support and enable homeless and disadvantaged people in the North East to transform their lives.

Depaul has a similar mission, although on a national scale, and works, like CATalyst ne , with 16-25 year olds who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Depaul already ran a number of services in North Tyneside and by bringing these services together with those of CATalyst ne , the needs of young people will be met better than ever.
